Generally, a factory reset clears all the saved data and settings on your device. So, before you proceed to reset, make sure you have tried the following fixes.

  • Replace the old batteries on your Roku remote and try operating your TV to check if it is responding properly or not.
  • Sometimes, issues like a black screen might arise due to an improperly connected HDMI or Power cables. So, make sure all the cables are connected properly.
  • A simple speed test will diagnose your WiFi connection issues, and you can connect to a different WiFi network if the connection is slow.
  • Make sure your Roku TV is running on its latest version so that there will be no errors or bugs and ensure the smooth working of your device.
  • If your Roku device is slow or lags, then it might be due to storage issues. Deleting the unwanted apps will free up storage space on your device.
  • You can also reboot your Roku device to fix a few minor issues.
