No matter how fast your Polaroid TV runs, it may be prone to crashing or other software problems. Whatever the reason, resetting the Polaroid TV is an obvious solution to fix this issue. All Polaroid TVs have a dedicated reset option on the TV settings, which can be accessed through the TV remote. If your Polaroid TV remote does not work, use the TV buttons, remote apps, keyboard, and mouse to reset the TV without a remote.
Soft Reset Polaroid TV Without Remote
Before attempting a factory reset, you can try a soft reset. This is effective in eradicating the residuals and minor TV caches. Also, it won’t clear the internal storage, so you won’t lose any data.
- Turn off your Polaroid TV by clicking the Power button on the panel.
- Plug out the TV cord from the power outlet.
- Patiently wait for a few minutes until the Polaroid TV’s residual powers go down.
- Plug the TV cord into a power outlet.
- Press the TV Power button to turn on the Polaroid TV.
Once the soft reset is done, inspect the TV functions. If you find a lag or crash while using the Polaroid TV, proceed to the factory resetting.
Hard Reset Polaroid TV using a Keyboard or Mouse
If you own a PC, you will have a keyboard and mouse. Even though they are part of a PC, they can help to reset the Polaroid TV. Keep your keyboard and mouse ready and plug the keyboard or mouse’s dongle into the Polaroid TV’s USB port. Polaroid TV will detect the device and show a cursor on the screen.
