Soft Reset the Panasonic TV Without Remote

Before jumping to the hard reset, try soft resetting your Panasonic TV. The minor issues and caches on the TV will be wiped by performing a soft reset.

  • Power off the Panasonic TV and unplug the TV power cord from the socket.
  • Long-press the Panasonic TV Power button on the TV panel.
  • Plug the TV cord back in and turn on the Panasonic TV by pressing the Power button.
  • Once it turns on, check if the TV functions are working normally. If not, proceed with the factory reset process.

Reset the Panasonic TV Using the TV Buttons

The Panasonic TV has physical buttons, such as Power, Menu, Volume, Input, and Channel, found beneath or at the side of the TV panel. While your Panasonic TV is on, press the Menu button to open the Panasonic TV settings.

  • Reset Panasonic Viera TV – Press the TV Menu Button → Choose Setup → Click System → Tap Reset to Factory defaults → Select OK.
  • Reset Panasonic Android TV – Go to Settings → Choose Device Preferences → Click Reset → Select Factory Reset → Tap Erase Everything.

  • Reset Panasonic Google TV – Open Settings → Click System → Choose About → Tap Reset → Select Factory Reset → Hit Erase Everything.
Use TV Buttons to Reset Panasonic TV Without Remote

Note: Some Panasonic TV models have a dedicated reset button or pinhole. You can long-press that button to reset your Panasonic TV to factory defaults.

Reset the Panasonic TV Using the Keyboard or Mouse

Use Keyboard or Mouse to Reset Panasonic TV Without Remote

You can connect the external mouse or keyboard to your Panasonic TV’s USB port, use the cursor control to operate the TV and perform a factory reset. All you need is a wireless mouse or keyboard with a dedicated touchpad. Plug the keyboard or mouse into the TV’s USB port. Once connected, the cursor will appear on the TV screen, and you can use it to go to the Panasonic TV settings and choose the Reset option.

Factory Reset the Panasonic TV Using Remote Apps

Use your smartphone as a virtual remote controller to reset your Panasonic TV comfortably. Initially, connect your Panasonic TV to WiFi, which should be on the same network as your smartphone. The Panasonic TV runs on four different OS, so get the appropriate remote based on your Panasonic TV OS model.

Pair the remote app with your Panasonic TV to get a virtual remote interface. Then, open the TV Settings and select the Reset option. Then, perform a hard reset on your Panasonic TV.

If you are resetting your Panasonic TV to fix the WiFi issue, you can use IR remote apps, which don’t need a WiFi connection. However, ensure that your Android device has an IR blaster. Install the IR remote app and pair it with your Panasonic TV. Then, using a virtual remote interface, you can factory reset your Panasonic TV. The following are IR remote apps that you can use to reset the Panasonic TV virtually.
