Steps to Program Universal Remote to TCL Smart TV With Codes

There are two ways to program and pair the universal remote to your TCL Smart TV.

Method 1: Direct Code Entry

1. Once the TCL TV is turned on, point the universal remote towards the TV and press the TV button.

2. Hit the Setup button until the LED light on the remote starts blinking twice.

3. Based on the remote brand, refer to the section above and enter the remote code. Once entered, the remote will be paired to your TCL TV. Finally, press the Power button on the universal remote to turn it off. If the TV turns off, you have configured the remote with the correct remote code.

Method 2: Code Search

1. Long-press the Setup button on the universal remote and enter the code (9-9-1).

2. Hit the Power button and CH+ button simultaneously until the TCL TV turns off. If the TV turns off, you have successfully paired the remote to your TCL TV.

Steps to Program Universal Remote to TCL Smart TV Without Codes

If you can’t find the right remote pairing code, follow the steps below and pair the universal remote to your TCL Smart TV.

1. Press the TV button and OK/SEL buttons on the universal remote for 3-4 seconds until the LED light starts blinking.

2. Point the remote towards your TCL TV and press the CH- and CH+ buttons.

3. Now, press the Up or Down button continuously until the TCL TV turns off. Once it is off, press the Power button on the remote to turn it on. This means that your remote has been successfully paired with the TCL TV.

4. Finally, select the Device button or TV button to complete the pairing process.
