Steps to Program Universal Remote to LG TV With Codes
The steps for programming a universal remote are almost the same. You can either follow the Manual Code Entry or Auto Code Search methods to program your universal remote using codes.
Manual Code Entry
1. Point your universal remote at your LG TV and hold the Setup button. The LED indicator light on the remote will start to flash.
2. Find the remote codes for your LG TV in the table mentioned above or your remote’s user manual.
3. Then, enter the remote code using the number keys on your universal remote without releasing the Setup button.
4. Once you enter the code, release the Setup button and long-press the Power button.
5. If your LG TV turns off, the remote pairing is successful. If not, you need to repeat the steps once again using a different remote code.
Auto Code Search
1. Press and hold the Setup key on a universal remote after pointing it towards your LG TV.
2. Then, input the code 9 9 1 on your universal remote.
3. Once you enter the code, you must initiate the code search process to find the correct code for your LG TV. To do this, press the Channel Up and Power buttons repeatedly.
