Like all televisions, Hisense TV comes with a power button to manage the power status. By pressing that power button, you can turn your Hisense TV on or off directly. Since Hisense TVs come in various models running unique operating systems, the placement of the Power button will differ for each model.
If you are using an old Hisense TV, the Power button will be on the right, left, or back side of the panel. Using that Power button, you can turn on your TV by pressing it once. For new Hisense TV models, you can locate the Power button on the bottom center below the Hisense logo. Once identified, long press the Power button to switch on your Hisense TV.
If you have mounted your Hisense TV on the wall, pressing the Power button can be a little hard. In that case, you can try the next method.
Say Voice Commands to Turn On Hisense TV
Some Hisense TVs come with built-in Alexa or Google Assistant. If your Hisense TV supports hands-free voice control, you can say a voice command to turn it on. Tap the Mic icon in the Hisense TV remote app and say, “Turn on my TV.”
If you own an old Hisense TV that lacks a built-in voice assistant but you have a smart speaker, you can still turn the TV on. This technique will work only when your TV is in standby mode. You need to access the Amazon Alexa service on your Hisense TV and set it up to control your Hisense TV using Alexa-powered speakers.
If your smart speaker supports Google Assistant, you need to use the Google Home app and link your Hisense TV. Once you activate the voice assistant feature, you can turn on your Hisense TV using the following voice commands.
- “Alexa, Turn on the TV“
- “Hey Google, Turn on my Hisense TV.”
Use the IR Remote App to Turn On Hisense TV
The next method to turn on your TV without a remote is using the IR remote app. The best thing about using infrared remote apps is that they don’t require WiFi. However, you can install these IR remote apps only on Android phones with an IR blaster, a feature that you can’t find on iPhones. If you don’t know which remote app to use for Hisense TV, we have listed some of the best ones that we found ideal.
Upon installation, refer to the steps below to use the app and power on the Hisense TV without a remote.
1. Launch the Hisense IR remote app on your Android phone.
2. Click on the Power button on the app by pointing your phone towards your TV.
3. Your TV will turn off immediately, indicating that your Hisense TV is responding to the IR remote app commands.
4. Then, press the Power button again to turn on your Hisense TV.
Alternatively, apps like RemoteNOW, VIDAA, Fire TV, The Roku App, Google TV, and Xumo TV can be used to control Hisense TV. However, you need to pair the TV with the app using a wireless network. This app can control the Hisense TV only if it is in a powered-on state. Therefore, you can’t use these apps to turn the Hisense TV on even if it runs in standby mode.
