If your Luxor TV remote doesn’t work for any reason, get the remote app on your phone and use it to control your TV. If you use Luxor Android TV, the Google TV app can be used to control it. For old Luxor TVs, you can install and use IR remote apps as a virtual remote. In this article, we have demonstrated the steps to control Luxor TV using remote apps.
Control Luxor Android TV Using Google TV App
1. Download the Google TV app on your Android phone by navigating to the Play Store. If you have an iPhone or iPad, you can get this app from the App Store.
2. After turning on your Luxor Android TV, connect it to the same WiFi network that your Android or iPhone is connected to.
3. Run the Google TV app on a phone and log in to your Google account.
4. At the bottom right corner of the Google TV app, click the TV Remote option.
5. Select your Luxor Android TV from the list of active devices that appear.
6. Note the 6-digit code that appears on your Luxor TV and enter it in the app. Then, tap Pair to finish the pairing process.
7. A virtual remote interface will appear on the Google TV app. You can use the remote interface to control your Luxor Android TV seamlessly.
Use the IR Remote App to Control the Old Luxor TV
For old Luxor non-smart TVs, the Google TV app won’t work since it can only control Android TV. In that case, use any of the third-party IR remote apps available online to control your Luxor TV. Run the remote app, choose a remote, and tap the Power button. If your Luxor TV does not turn off, select the next remote and press the Power button again.
