Control Shinco Android TV Using the Google TV Remote App
To get started, check if your Shino TV is connected to the same WiFi as your smartphone.
1. Navigate to the Play Store on your Android phone and install the Google TV app. On your iPhone, go to the App Store and tap Get to install the Google TV app.
2. Run the Google TV application and log in using your Google account.
3. Then, tap Allow to permit the app to use Bluetooth on your smartphone.
4. Click on the Continue option on the welcome screen.
5. On the app’s home page, click on the TV Remote option. Then, tap Allow to begin scanning for devices that are connected to WiFi.
6. A list of devices paired to the same wireless network will appear. Select your Shinco Android TV and enter the 4-digit PIN to confirm the pairing process. Click Pair once you have entered the PIN.
7. Now, your Shinco TV will be paired with the Google TV app. Simultaneously, a remote interface will appear on the app. Then, use the navigation, volume, and channel buttons to control your TV. You can also change the app’s remote interface to Swipe Control by clicking the 3-dots icon.
Control Shinco webOS TV Using the LG ThinQ App
Begin by pairing your smartphone and Shinco webOS TV to the same WiFi network.
1. Install the LG ThinQ app on your Android phone from the Play Store. Get the app from the App Store if you use an iPhone.
2. Once you install the LG ThinQ app, launch it and sign in to the app using the login credentials. If you are a new user, tap Register to create a new account.
3. Click on the Add Products option and tap Select Manually.
4. Select the TV option and choose your Shinco webOS TV.
5. An 8-digit pairing PIN will appear on your Shinco TV screen. Enter the 8-digit code on your smartphone app and tap OK.
6. Now, your Shinco webOS TV will be paired with the app.
7. Click on the Remote tab to launch the remote interface on your smartphone.
8. Then, you can control your Shinco TV using the navigation keys and voice control.
Use the IR Remote App to Control Old Shinco TV
If your home’s WiFi connection is unstable, the apps mentioned above will not work. In that case, install and use the IR remote app on your Android phone, which has an IR blaster built-in. The Shinco Remote App is unavailable in the Play Store, so you can download it as an APK from a trusted source and install it.
Upon installing the app on your phone, launch it and start controlling your Shinco TV using the remote interface. If you are not interested in controlling your TV using third-party apps, purchase a universal remote from Amazon to control it.
